Interview with Author Lucie Babikian

**Author Peek** INTRODUCING….AuthorLucie Babikian

1.    When did you first realize you wanted to be a writer?

I’ve been writing stories since I was in college. I began with writing some articles for an English magazine in Saudi Arabia. I have since written my first book, and am now working on my second.

2.    How long did it take you to write Belonging to Him?

From first draft though editing and publishing it took about a year.

3.    What is your work schedule like when you're writing?

I’m a part-time writer. I have three small children and an active social life, so I am often very busy. After everyone goes to bed, around midnight, it is my time to do my writing. Usually I write from midnight to 2 a.m. everything is quiet. There is nothing to distract me. This creative time in the middle of the night is the best time for me

4.    What brought you to write this series?

Romance has always been my preferred genre when picking my reads. But in the Middle East, access to English-language literature was limited, until the advent of e-book availability worldwide. With this new access, I discovered erotic romance, and it became my favorite genre. The new access to and connection with erotic romance changed my writing style and inspired me to pen my first erotic romance, Belonging To Him, and now this series.

5.    How did you become a published author? Any inspiration?

My inspiration has always been wanting to share an experience with my readers. Filling the pages of a book with ideas and scenes that the reader will be swept up by.

6.    Where do you get your information or ideas for your books?

I usually have the initial idea and have a good knowledge of my characters, then I jump into writing and the story unravels as it goes. I do a lot of research as I write so that the story rings true to those who know the place, for example, Belonging to Him was set in Rome so of course I had to travel there to see for myself!

7.    When was your first book published?

My first book, Belonging to Him was published in early 2016.

8.    What do you like to do when you're not writing?

I love reading, traveling, fashion, and my morning muay-thai boxing sessions.

9.    How many books have you written?

Belonging to Him was my first book. Hopefully the series will contain 3 books.

10. What's next for you? What are you working on now?

Thank you for your interest! I am currently working on my second book, a follow up to Belonging to Him, exploring one of the minor characters much more intimately.

The setting this time is in Milan with our heroine hailing from Paris, two places which Ive visited recently and loved.

The story centers around a woman who is called to work on a project and upon arriving realizes she knows the CEO from a risqué night they had previously shared. The plot thickens with themes of trust, friendship, lust and love as the story progresses.
