Interview with Author Curtis Jackson

Here is an another interviw with Author Curtis Jackson. We will talk about his new book Waiting for Regina and hopefully everyone will love to read this wonderfull book.

  1. When did you first realize you wanted to be a writer?
Ans. => It was during childhood, my desire to author a book grew stronger from 5th and 6th grade.

  1. How long does it take you to write this books?
Ans. => Not including revisions and delays, it is like a year to year and a half for each publication on average. Waiting for Regina required several months, preparation for publication extended the time including editing, formatting, and the book cover.

  1. What is your work schedule like when you're writing?
Ans. => It is very busy, I am endeavouring to balance secular education, any employment and other obligations. To keep current with my class assignments and assignments, I could forsake writing projects for weeks.

  1. What brought you to write this book series?
Ans. =>Waiting for Regina is not a book series, it is unlikely there will be a sequel or follow-up. The novel developed from an unpublished short story about friendship and colourism that was written by me in 1994.

  1. How you become a published author? Any inspiration?
Ans. => For many years it did not look promising, self-publishing is costly and it is very challenging to get into mainstream publishing. It was more than a matter of getting your foot in the door. I struggled to find and afford those ‘doors’ opening to publishing opportunities. My first book is a digital publication produced through Nook Press.

  1. Where do you get your information or ideas for your books?
Ans. => For my memoir, The Deserting Character Artist, the incentive stems from personal resolution of forsaking a desired career. More ideas developed from what was experienced in real life. One of the strongest basis for my first novel Waiting for Regina were the positive upbuilding relationships I observed and experienced. These are healthy associations that could endure dividing social vices as racial colourism (colorism, United States).

           7.    When did you write your first book and how old were you?
Ans. => My first book was published in the fall season of 2014. It was entitled 57 Pages: A Collection of Thought-Motivating Cartoons. The book is currently out of print, unpublished. I was 51 years of age.

  1. What do you like to do when you're not writing?
Ans. => I attend college studying and applying Graphic Design. Also, I participate in a non-profit organization promoting free community-wide education based on truth and accurate knowledge. I look forward having more free time to read and go hiking.

  1. How many books have you written? Which is your favourite?
Ans. => On and off, I am working on my fifth book, at present count four books. One of those publications was translated in three languages with three editions. My favourite is Waiting for Regina.

  1. What's next for you? What are you working on now?
Ans. => About that fifth upcoming publication, it is a non-fiction book featuring a collection of my prior published online blog articles in news commentary. It will be called, Curtis on the News: The Unfinished Chronicles, 2008-2013. Also, I wish to engage in the production of colouring books for all ages.
The interview been a pleasure, I thank you and your readers for it;

Interview with Author Margaret Segal

Hello everyone... This is an interview time and today Author Margaret Segal is with us for her children's book "The Adventures of Harry the Inside-Outside Cat". So we asked some questions to her and here are her answers:

  1. When did you first realize you wanted to be a writer?
Ans. =>  I’m not sure when the notion of being a writer took hold.  I’ve always loved the English language and reading.  I think it gradually became a part of my life, particularly after I’d come to terms with some major personal, family, and health issues that needed quite a bit of time before they were resolved.

  1. How long did it take you to write your book?
Ans. =>  With it being a children’s book, it didn’t take a long time.  And because it’s based on the life and times of a real cat as opposed to an imaginary one, that made it very real and an easy, fun story to tell

  1. What is your work schedule like when you're writing?
Ans. =>  I work writing into my everyday schedule as best I can.  I don’t have specific dates and times when I write – it seems to happen more fluidly.  I guess I’m lucky that way!

  1. What brought you to write this book series?
Ans. => The uniqueness and special personality of Harry the cat.  His story just called out to be told, and the second book is in progress as we speak.

  1. How you become a published author? Any inspiration?
Ans. => Real life has inspired me over the years.  As to my book, I wanted to write a sweet, fun story that children and adults would enjoy, and this wonderful cat named Harry happened to show up at just the right time.  The world is in a difficult place today on many levels, so I wanted to create something to put smiles on people’s faces.

  1. When did you write your first book and how old were you?
Ans. => “The Adventures of Harry the Inside-Outside Cat” IS my first book, and I wrote it in 2016.  But I’ve written many other pieces in other writing styles, from non-fiction to poetry to humor to inspirational pieces, most of which have been published over the years.

  1. What do you like to do when you're not writing?
Ans. => Read, travel, work in the garden, and especially doing volunteer work with several different organizations.

  1. What's next for you? What are you working on now?
Ans. =>  As I mentioned earlier, I’ve begun the second book, where Harry will go on another adventure.  I won’t reveal the nature of the adventure, other than to say it involves a dog...which should be fun, since the real-life Harry does NOT like dogs (especially large ones), but for some reason, he’s started to befriend THIS particular  very tiny dog!
