Hello everyone, it’s time to take an author interview and today Author Johanna Sparrow is with us. We are interviewing her for her book "Bruised Hearts", which launched on September 11, 2017.
JS: I first realized that I wanted to write when I took part in a
third-grade writing contest. I only participated to get out of class, butafter
writing apoem and a short story, I was hooked on writing.
- How long does it take you to write this book?
JS: It took me a month to write Bruised
Hearts.
- What is your work schedule like when you're writing?
JS: My work schedule is basic most of the time. I write when I’m in mood. The
days and the amount that I write varies.
- What inspiredyou to write this book?
JS: I wrote this book based on my experiences with heartbreak and
disappointment. Finding the will to forgive others isn’t easy, but I learned that
it’s necessary to move forwardand be happy.
- How did you become a published author?Any inspiration?
JS: My inspiration to write comes from past life experiences, the
experiences of others, and research.I’m considered an indie author (independent
author),so I publish my own works. With that comes a certain level of creative
freedom, which I enjoy because I’m free to talk about whatever topics I want
and publish new material whenever I desire.
- Where do you get your information andideas for your books?
JS: I get ideas from my own life experiencesandfrom things I’ve witness through
other people. When I write about dating andforgiveness, that information is based
on personal experience.
- When did you write your first book? How old were you?
JS: I wrote my first book when I was a teenager, but it wasn’t
published. My first published work was in 2004.
- What do you like to do when you're not writing?
I’m a family person and a huge animal lover. I have a few dogs and cats thatkeep
me busy when I’m not spending time with my husband and adult children.
- How many books have you written?Which one is your favorite?
JS: I’ve written over 33 books to date. I don’t have a favoritebecause they’re
all special to me.Like children, they’re all unique and hold a special place in
my heart.
- What's next for you? What are you working on now?
JS: More books are
next for me. I have many stories to tell, and I won’t be done anytime soon. Right
now, I’m working on a memoir and another self-help book.
